The Preaching Lab is a focused, in-person gathering designed to help you move from learning about preaching to practicing it in community. Each participant prepares a short sermon, receives thoughtful feedback, and grows alongside other preachers committed to faithful, compelling proclamation.

The Compelling Preaching Initiative has been an incredible resource for our NYC youth pastors in our City Life Cohort community. They have expressed through this process they have learned about preaching and teaching through a different perspective. Many of them have shared they haven’t been trained specifically in preaching/teaching. Our leaders who participated in this program expressed that they were most impacted by the preaching lab where they got hands on training and feedback from trusted leaders/facilitators. Many of them have been so impressed with this program that they now are trying to get their leaders and even some of their students involved in learning through this initiative.

The Multi Ethnic Preaching Initiative has been an absolute gift and a blessing in my (very new) journey of preaching. The virtual classroom material is excellent, and it challenged me to consider and dive deeper into scripture than ever before. The modules gave me practical steps to develop a compelling sermon, which was further supported by the in-person preaching lab experience. Carter and Kristian led the lab brilliantly, and it was a wonderful opportunity to receive feedback and learn alongside other aspiring preachers. 10/10 would recommend!
